Aya’s Summer poem

Aya wrote a fantastic poem about summer. We love the way she has built a picture in the reader’s mind. It certainly makes us want to sit on a beach with an ice cream!

The ice cream truck

Will get stuck

By the children running

To get their lollies

Before they start melting

The beach will be busy

With smiles, laughter and families

Sandcastles will be built

Whilst they try to keep them still

They may fall down

But you have to turn the frown upside down

The aqua blue sea is like the icing on an ice cream

Just melting and sinking away into the sand

They may fall down

Bu you have to turn the frown upside down

The beach is a lovely place to have fun

So enjoy your time there

As summer will go

And winter will come!
