Alpacas[1]

Elwad’s Alpaca poem

Elwad read poetry by A.A.Milne and loved the nonsensical nature of his poems. Her favourites were ‘The King’s Breakfast’ and ‘Halfway Down’ – (read this here https://allpoetry.com/Halfway-Down). She then wrote her own nonsense poem to make us laugh in the classroom! If you like her poem below, you should find her equally entertaining llama story on the blog from her last admission.

Alpaca Poem

3 alpacas sprinting fast like no-mans business
One fell into a dirty ditch
The alpacas stoped and witnessed
“Why do you always fall?”
Said another
“You always have to be a bother,” said the  other

They helped the clumsy alpaca get up and started running
“I hope the Zookeeper dosnt catch us” said one hoping

They ran and they ran and didn’t stop until the clumsy one wanted a drink.
He stopped and took a breath , the others stoped with him
“Why are you always thirsty?”said another
“You always have to be a bother,” said the other

They had no choice but to trot the way home.
They heard footsteps…
They heard muttering…
IT WAS THE ZOOKEEPER!

Now the other alpacas were tired and had no breath to run away.
That was when the zookeeper hovered his net above them.

POWW!

“WHO ARE YOU TO THREATEN MY FIRENDS, NOW YOUR TIME WILL COME TO AN END!”

It was the clumsy alpaca!
He kicked the zookeeper in the cheek
Wow , what a beat!

The zookeeper fell unconscious on the floor
The alpacas had a feeling they won’t see him anymore .

Hoof-in-hoof they strolled off into the sunset like lads.
